Orlando Convention May 30, 1999 (Delta Resort Hotel)
On Sunday we first started with a musical tribute to Hercules and Iolaus, the song was "Friends of Mine". Then We watched the New Zealand 60 minutes documentary on Hercules and Xena, we also heard a rumor that Gabrielle's new costume for next season is made out of leather (YYYEEESSSS!!!!). We watched a Xena music videothat used Aretha Franklin's song "Sisters", then watched blooper reels of Hercules before the auction. After the auction we saw a music tribute to Gabrielle, with the song "Wind beneathe my wings" then the Ares tribute of "Bad to the Bone". Once the song was done, Kevin came out.
I went up and asked him the biggest question that I could think of that would beat the ones from the day before, I asked him who is a better kisser Renee or Lucy. He wormed his way out of it and never said how Renee is, but said if his worst punishment was to have to kiss Lucy so be it. I went up a second time and asked him of all the costumes he has worn on the shows of Herc/Xena/Young Herc, what is his favorite costume. He said most people usually stay away from that question, and he said that the costume from God of Love was so tight he couldn't breathe or eat. The costume from Baccus on young herc took 6 hours to put 20 lbs. of rubber on his head. One person told him that she hated the bad wig that was on his stunt double for the episodes with both Ares of love and war. Then came Xena bloopers.
After Kevin was done, Claire came on and she was very fun. She was giving spoilers left and right about next season, like her being naked and telling Xena that she wants to become one with her mind and body (talk about subtext). Claire said she heard that Callisto was back, and she said that she wants to ask Tapert to allow Alti to kick Callisto's butt (there is an interesting fight). She even told us there is supposed to be a scene that has Alti butt naked being chased after Amazons (I want next season to start early now). I decided to keep up with my streak and put Claire on the spot and ask her a big question that I am sure everyone would like to ask. I told her that I have seen kisses between loads of characters on the show and was wondering which one Alti would most love to kiss. She worked her way around it with more spoilers.
When she was done, they started doing the signatures and the costume contest, I lost horribly and I mean horribly. When the announcer put his hand above me, noone clapped; I didn't think I did that bad on it oh well. There was a tie for 1st palce and then one for 2nd place. 1st palce went to a gab look-a-like, and a female Centaur; 2nd place went to a lady dressed up as Ephiny. After the contest we watched a joxer music video and then we had Creation's picks for the top ten villians, unfortunetly I was inline for Claire's autograph and forgot to watch what the list came out to so I could put it in for this update, sorry about that.
